It's nice to be here.  The United States is a special project and I'm the project manager.  I know you've had a lot of false starts in the past.  This isn't a false start.  We have the will to do this.

About two years ago, we announced that we were going to start the U.S.-flagged cruise industry.  A lot of skeptics in the industry said it wouldn't happen.  Tonight I was receiving e-mails from the staff captain of the Pride of Aloha, a U.S.-flagged cruise ship that's doing the Hawaiian Islands once a week.  In June, the Pride of America will be out... In early 2006, the Pride of Hawaii will be out... and right behind that will be the United States.

Right now, I'm working on the feasability project -- maybe that's a poor title for it.  By 'feasability' we mean 'what are our options on how we're going to do this.'  But it's going to happen.  The first thing I have to do in the next six months is identify the condition of every rivet, every plate, every door, every valve, every fitting on the ship, so that the designers can move forward from there and we can find out exactly what we're going to do with the ship in detail.  But it's going to happen.  So that's the message I have for you tonight.

I'm living in the future.  We're going to take this ship and we're going to bring it back into service.  There's going to be American mariners on the ship, just like there's American mariners on the ship in Hawaii right now.

It's a privilege to be here.  I appreciate the invitation.  Have a nice dinner.
